Abstract
Modern military aircraft are among the most complex, densely packed devices ever conceived by man. Traditional methods of designing, manufacturing, testing, managing, and supporting these vehicles have become more and more unworkable as size, complexity, and performance expectations have continued to increase.
This presentation will address how evolving digital technology can be leveraged to meet these challenges. The extent of the problem will be documented along with some concepts for the practical use of virtual 3D representations to provide understanding, organization, and ready access to the wealth of information associated with the development & fielding of these systems.
